WideOrbit Fusion Connector for ShareBuilder Assistant Skills

The ShareBuilder Assistant is expanding its media pricing and sales workflow ecosystem with a new Connector that brings WideOrbit Fusion directly into the Assistant Skills platform. With the WideOrbit Fusion Connector, authorized media teams can bring property, product, sellout, and rate information into coordinated workflows that help pricing decisions move into execution.

About WideOrbit Fusion

WideOrbit Fusion is a modern, cross-platform ad sales system designed to help media organizations price, plan, and sell across properties and channels. It supports broadcast and digital sales workflows while bringing audience, inventory, and pricing information into a connected workspace.

For media revenue teams, that context matters. Rates need to reflect demand, products need to be matched correctly, and pricing updates need to reach the right station and rate level without creating unnecessary manual work.

This is the WideOrbit Fusion Connector

The WideOrbit Fusion Connector connects authorized Fusion pricing information to Assistant Skills.

Teams can build Skills that find the properties and products they are allowed to work with, review sellout and rate information, and update rates at the appropriate rate level. The connector checks ShareBuilders access before calling Fusion so workflows stay within the ownership-group and station permissions established for the user.

Find the right properties and products

Media organizations often operate across multiple stations, ownership groups, and product catalogs. Before a pricing workflow can act, it needs to identify the correct property and product.

The connector can search authorized Fusion properties across ownership groups and find products for a selected station. That gives downstream workflow steps the identifiers and context they need to continue without relying on manually maintained lookups.

A Skill could use those results to:

  • locate the correct station and product for a pricing review
  • prepare a consistent mapping between ShareBuilders and Fusion
  • route a pricing request using authorized ownership context
  • reduce manual searching before sellout or rate analysis

This creates a cleaner starting point for more dependable pricing automation.

Bring sellout context into the workflow

Rates make more sense when teams can see the demand behind them.

The WideOrbit Fusion Connector can retrieve product sellout information for an authorized station. A Skill can use that data alongside ShareBuilder Pricing, forecast information, or internal business rules to identify products that may need attention.

That could support workflows such as:

  • preparing a sellout summary before a pricing meeting
  • flagging products with meaningful inventory pressure
  • notifying a manager when a review is needed
  • combining sellout context with a proposed rate change
  • creating a repeatable station-level pricing check

Instead of gathering this information manually, teams can make sellout part of a scheduled or event-driven workflow.

Review rate levels and current rates

Pricing teams need to understand both the available rate structure and the values currently in place.

The connector can search Fusion rate levels and retrieve rates for an authorized station. Assistant Skills can use those results to prepare a review, compare current values with another source, or determine which rate level should be used in the next step.

For example, a Skill could combine a ShareBuilder Pricing output with current Fusion rates, summarize the differences, and send the result to a manager for review. Another workflow could prepare a station-by-station rate check before a new pricing period begins.

This gives teams a more consistent way to bring current Fusion information into the decision process.

Move approved rate decisions into Fusion

The connector can update rates for a selected Fusion rate level.

That action makes it possible to carry an approved pricing decision through to execution. A Skill could gather the necessary station, product, rate-level, and rate information, pause for review when needed, and then send the approved rates to Fusion.

The production connector supports direct rate-level updates. More complex rate-push logic, matching rules, and batching strategies should be treated as separately designed workflows rather than assumed behavior.

This clear boundary gives teams a reliable building block while keeping higher-risk pricing decisions visible and controlled.

Respect customer and station access

Pricing automation should never bypass the access rules that protect customer data.

Before a Fusion request is made, the connector checks the user’s authorized ShareBuilders Pricing session. Property searches are limited to authorized ownership groups, and station-level actions require access to the requested station.

This helps teams automate with confidence while preserving the same organizational boundaries used in their connected ShareBuilders and Fusion environments.

Connect Fusion with the rest of the revenue workflow

Fusion data becomes more useful when it can participate in workflows across the systems where revenue work happens.

Assistant Skills can combine WideOrbit Fusion with ShareBuilder Pricing, ShareBuilder CRM, Microsoft Teams, email, reporting, approvals, and other connectors. A workflow could compare recommended and current rates, prepare a manager summary, request approval, update Fusion, and record the outcome in another connected system.

This helps close the gap between pricing analysis and operational execution without asking teams to coordinate every handoff manually.

Assistant Skills

Skills are the workflows you train the ShareBuilder Assistant to run for your team. Create a Skill and the Assistant executes playbooks, coordinates processes, updates systems, and communicates across platforms automatically.

Availability

The WideOrbit Fusion Connector supports authorized Assistant Skills workflows for property, product, sellout, rate-level, rate-search, and rate-update operations. Availability depends on the customer’s WideOrbit Fusion environment, ShareBuilders configuration, ownership-group setup, station access, and connector credentials.
