HTTP & Webhook Connector
The ShareBuilder Assistant is expanding its integration toolkit with one of our most powerful and flexible Connectors yet: the HTTP Connector. With the HTTP Connector, Assistant Skills can connect to internal tools, custom systems, specialized applications, and third-party services that may not yet have a dedicated Connector.
About the HTTP Connector
Most Connectors are built for a specific application. The HTTP Connector is different.
It gives Assistant Skills a flexible way to communicate with systems that support web-based requests, APIs, or custom endpoints. That makes it especially useful when your organization has internal tools, proprietary applications, custom databases, niche platforms, or partner systems that are important to your workflow but are not yet available in the Connector Marketplace.
This is the HTTP Connector
The HTTP Connector brings custom integration capability directly into Assistant Skills. Instead of waiting for every system to have a dedicated Connector, teams can use HTTP to connect the Assistant to the tools and data sources that matter most.
This opens the door for more advanced workflows, deeper customization, and broader automation across your organization.
Connect internal and custom tools
Many media organizations have specialized systems that do not fit neatly into standard integration categories. These might include internal request portals, custom reporting tools, proprietary inventory systems, traffic-related utilities, legacy applications, or homegrown operational databases.
With the HTTP Connector, Assistant Skills can connect to those systems when an API or endpoint is available, helping your team bring more of your real workflow into one coordinated automation layer.
Extend Skills beyond standard Connectors
Dedicated Connectors are powerful, but they cannot cover every possible system. The HTTP Connector helps close that gap.
It can support use cases like:
- Sending data to a custom internal application
- Retrieving information from a proprietary system
- Triggering a process in a specialized tool
- Connecting to a partner or vendor API
- Moving workflow data into a custom reporting endpoint
- Bridging gaps while a dedicated Connector is being built
This gives your team more flexibility to solve practical workflow problems without being limited to the Connectors already in the marketplace.
Bring specialized applications into the Assistant Skills ecosystem
The most valuable workflows often involve systems that are unique to your organization. With the HTTP Connector, those specialized applications can become part of Assistant Skills.
For example, a Skill could gather CRM, Pricing, Data Enrichment, and campaign context, then send that information to an internal approval tool, a custom forecasting model, a partner platform, or a specialized operational system. The response can then be used to guide the next step in the workflow.
That means the Assistant can coordinate work across both standard applications and the tools your business has built for itself.
A more technical Connector, with support from our team
The HTTP Connector is more technical than many of our application-specific Connectors. It is designed for situations where an API, endpoint, authentication method, request format, or technical configuration needs to be defined.
But your team does not have to figure it out alone.
ShareBuilders can help evaluate the use case, understand the target system, configure the workflow, and determine whether HTTP is the right approach. When a dedicated Connector is not available, the HTTP Connector gives us a flexible path to help you keep moving.
Build workflows without waiting on the perfect integration
Sometimes the workflow opportunity is clear before the dedicated Connector exists. The HTTP Connector gives Assistant Skills a way to support those opportunities sooner.
That makes it a strong fit for:
- Customer-specific integrations
- Early-stage partner integrations
- Specialized internal systems
- Legacy tools with API access
- Advanced workflow prototypes
- Custom AI Agent workflows that need external data or actions
Instead of delaying automation until every system has a packaged Connector, your team can explore practical ways to connect the systems you already use.
Assistant Skills
Skills are the workflows you train the ShareBuilder Assistant to run for your team. Create a Skill and the Assistant executes playbooks, coordinates processes, updates systems, and communicates across platforms automatically.
Availability
The HTTP Connector is available for Assistant Skills workflows where custom or technical integration support is needed. Because each use case can vary, the ShareBuilders team can help determine the best approach for your systems and workflow goals.
